Kinder Room Program

Welcome to the Kinder Room Page!

In the Kindergarten Room we run a fortnightly program for 3 – 5 year olds related to the children’s current interests and based on the Early Years Learning Framework. Our fortnightly program is based on topics such as seasons, different jobs that people do in the community, insects & bugs, ocean creatures, types of transportation, road signs & road safety and countries and continents around the world.

Throughout the day we participate in inside learning activities, group time learning on the fortnightly topic, outside play, group games and music & movement. In our program activities we encourage the development of the children’s cutting skills, letter and number awareness, craft skills and shape awareness through play based and group time learning.

During our daily group time learning we discuss what the date, day, weather and season is, read stories, participate in songs and learn how to write different letters and numbers of the week related to our fortnightly topic. We also sing the alphabet song, do show & tell and explore further about our fortnightly topic through educational videos and discussions.
